Setting plug-in options

Use the Plug-ins tab to add and remove plug-ins, such as visualizations. You can also use this tab to change the properties of plug-ins.

To access the Plug-ins tab

The following options are listed on the Plug-ins tab:

Category

Lists the available plug-in categories.

Plug-ins list (the rightmost list)

Lists the plug-ins in the selected category.

Properties

Click to change the properties of the selected plug-in.

The specific properties vary by plug-in. For some visualization plug-ins, for example, you can set the following properties:

Screen size

Lists the available screen sizes that you can select for a visualization collection when it is played in full screen. The performance of the visualization when it is set to a larger size depends on the speed of your computer. The visualization can also distort if you stretch it to full screen.

Offscreen buffer size

Lists the available offscreen buffer sizes you can select to adjust the resolution of the visualization so that it does not distort. The larger you set the buffer size, the harder your CPU must work to make the visualization run smoothly, especially at full screen.

Remove

Click to delete the selected plug-in. Some plug-ins cannot be removed, such as the visualizations that are included in Windows Media Player by default.

Add

Click to add a visualization collection from a location that you specify.
